Hardoi: 10 people have lost their lives in a horrific road accident in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. The condition of four people is said to be critical in the accident. The death toll may increase. According to the information, an auto and a DCM collided fiercely near village Roshanpur on Katra Bilhaur Highway in Bilgram police station area. 10 people died in the accident. Four are seriously injured who have been referred to the district hospital from Bilgram CSC.
6 women included in the dead
Hardoi Superintendent of Police (SP) Neeraj Kumar Jadoun said that 6 women are included in the dead. Apart from this, three children and a man are also included in the dead. A total of 10 people have died while four people are injured. They are out of danger, but they have been sent to the district hospital for better treatment. On going to the spot, it was learned from the eyewitnesses that this collision happened while trying to save a motorcycle.
DCM taken into custody
SP Neeraj Kumar Jadoun said that the DCM has been taken into custody and the auto driver is being identified. The families of the deceased and the injured are being informed about this. The condition of the injured is out of danger and they are being given good treatment. He said that the matter is being investigated. Strict action will be taken against the culprits.
The accident happened while trying to save the bike
According to the information, a tempo and DCM collided on Katra Bilhaur road at around 12:00 pm. The auto was coming from Madhavganj to Bilgram with passengers and collided with a DCM coming from the front near the turn of Roshanpur village on the way. The collision was so strong that the passengers sitting in it fell far away. The police reached the spot on information and rescued the injured and sent them to Bilgram CSC where 10 people had died by then.
According to the nearby villagers, a head-on collision took place between the DCM and the auto while trying to save a motorcyclist. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital where their treatment is going on. Among the dead in the accident are 6 women, three children and one man.
PM announced compensation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to the families of each person killed in the accident in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. The injured will be given Rs 50,000.
