Things did not work out with Congress
Amidst the reports of the formation and breaking of alliance with Congress in Haryana, Aam Aadmi Party has released the first list of candidates and made it clear that it is ready to contest this election alone. AAP has released this list of its candidates at a time when talks of alliance were going on between the two parties.
Although Aam Aadmi Party and Congress had contested the elections with India Alliance, the talks between the two parties could not be finalized regarding the assembly elections. AAP has also fielded its candidates on the 11 seats on which Congress has already declared its candidates. These include Uchan Kalan, Meham, Badshahpur, Narayangarh, Samalkha, Dabwali, Rohtak, Bahadurgarh, Badli, Beri and Mahendragarh assembly constituencies.
There was a problem regarding seats
Aam Aadmi Party’s Haryana president Sushil Gupta had said on Monday that if Congress does not take any decision on alliance with it for the assembly elections, then the party will soon announce candidates for all 90 seats. According to sources, Aam Aadmi Party was demanding 10 or more seats. But Congress was not ready for more than 3 seats. Due to this, talks were not being finalized between the two parties regarding tickets. Meanwhile, AAP released its list of 20 candidates.
What did Deepender Hooda say on AAP’s list?
On the question of AAP-Congress alliance in Haryana, Congress MP Deepender Hooda did not give any specific statement. On AAP’s list, he said, ‘Our list has also been released. The issue is of 10 years of misrule of the BJP government. In 10 years, BJP has derailed Haryana from the track of development. Haryana is number 1 in unemployment in the country, Haryana is number 1 in crime. Today Haryana has gone ahead of Punjab in drug addiction. The situation is such that Haryana is number 1 in the country in insulting every section.’ He further said, ‘We are confident that our candidate Kuldeep Vats will win with a huge majority in Badli assembly constituency. The people of Badli have decided that they have to bring change in Haryana.’
