Haryana: An order has been issued to register FIR against farmers who burn stubble in Haryana. Congress MP Kumari Selja has taken a tough stand on this. Selja said that the new order of the BJP government is another attack on the farmers of Haryana. By making a red entry with FIR on burning stubble and preventing farmers from selling crops on MSP for the next two seasons is not only dictatorship but also a direct attack on the livelihood of small farmers.
Selja has shared a copy of the government order on ‘X’ and wrote, “The government has suggested buying expensive ‘Happy Seeder’ machine, but can farmers struggling with financial crisis buy it? Instead of punishing the farmers, the government should provide a solution.”
The new order of the BJP government is another attack on the farmers of Haryana. By making a ‘red entry’ with FIR on burning stubble and preventing farmers from selling crops on MSP for the next two seasons is not only dictatorship but also a direct attack on the livelihood of small farmers.
This is said in the government order
Selja has shared a copy of the order of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department on social media, in which it is written that the state government has decided to register an FIR against the accused farmers and enter red mark in the farm records to control the burning of paddy stubble.
It has been told that as per the instructions of CAQM, FIR should be registered against the farmers who are burning paddy stubble. Case should be run under the relevant Act. At the same time, regarding the red mark entry, it has been said that there should be a red entry in the MFMB records of the farmers who burn paddy stubble. This will prevent farmers from selling grains in the mandis through the e-procurement portal for the next two seasons. This entry is mandatory and should be implemented in all types of agricultural arson.
Is MSP being abolished through the back door – Surjewala
On the other hand, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala attacked the BJP and said, “On the very first day of the formation of the Haryana government, the BJP government issued an order to abolish the MSP of farmers. On one hand, an FIR will be registered against the farmers while on the other hand farmers will not be able to sell their crops at MSP for the next two years.”
He further said, “This is a direct conspiracy of the BJP government led by Nayab Singh Saini. Because farmers did not vote for BJP in Haryana. Is this not a conspiracy to abolish MSP through the back door? Nayab Singh Saini will tell How many farmers in Haryana have been provided with Happy Seeder machines? Even after giving 50 percent subsidy, the cost of Happy Seeder machine is Rs 74 thousand.
