Congress has released its manifesto for the Haryana assembly elections. The manifesto was released on Wednesday in the presence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge and former chief minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda. Congress has promised 7 guarantees to the people of Haryana. The manifesto mentions Rs 2,000 per month to women, 300 units of free electricity, medical insurance of Rs 25 lakh.
These are the 7 guarantees of Congress
- Prosperity to every family (300 units of free electricity and medical insurance of Rs 25 lakh)
- Power to women (gas cylinder for Rs 2000 and Rs 500 every month)
- Roof to the poor (2 room house for Rs 3.5 lakh, 100 yard plot)
- Prosperity to farmers (MSP guarantee and compensation)
- Rights to the backward (caste census, creamy layer limit of Rs 10 lakh)
- Strength to social security (Rs 6000 pension, Rs 6000 disabled pension, Rs 6000 pension to widows and restoration of OPS)
- Secure future to the youth (recruitment of 2 lakh vacant posts, drug free Haryana initiative)
The manifesto was released in the presence of these leaders
Party President Mallikarjun Kharge announced these guarantees in the presence of senior leaders of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee. On this occasion, Congress Organization General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, senior leader Ajay Maken, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Uday Bhan and many other leaders were present.
Along with the legal guarantee of MSP and caste based survey, Congress has promised Rs 2000 per month for women between 18 to 60 years, pension of Rs 6000 per month to the elderly, disabled and widows, two lakh government jobs, 300 units of free electricity, free treatment of Rs 25 lakh, land for the poor and two-room houses.
Congress has also promised that if it comes to power, it will implement the old pension scheme and give LPG cylinder worth Rs 500 to every family. Voting for 90 assembly seats of Haryana will be held in one phase on October 5 and counting of votes will be done on October 8.
