Haryana: Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has made a big announcement for Haryana on Wednesday (May 21). He said that a big recruitment drive will be conducted in the jail department and about 1,300 posts of jail warders will be filled soon.
Not only this, CM Naib Singh Saini said that along with filling the vacant posts of medical and paramedical in the jail department, the staff required for the newly constructed jail training academy in Karnal will also be appointed immediately.
New jails will be built at a cost of Rs 300 crore
Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini made these announcements after inaugurating the academy in Karnal. During this, he also announced that new jails would be constructed in Panchkula, Dadri and Fatehabad at a cost of about Rs 300 crore.
‘Start of new vision’ – CM Naib Saini
Apart from this, a cowshed will also be started in the Karnal district jail premises. He said that the new jail training academy is the beginning of a transformative approach in the correctional system. This is not just the inauguration of a building, it is a change in attitude, the beginning of a new vision.
The academy was built for 30 crores
CM Saini further said, “Our jails should not be just a center of punishment, but a center of transformation, revival and reconstruction.” According to an official statement, this academy is spread over 6.5 acres and has been constructed at a cost of Rs 30.29 crore. On this occasion, Cooperation and Jail Minister Arvind Sharma praised the progressive initiatives being taken by the Jail Department.
CM Saini’s instructions to ministers-MLAs
Apart from this, the Haryana government has taken another big decision. In the BJP Vidhayak Dal meeting held at the CM residence in Chandigarh, it has been decided that now ‘report cards’ of the ministers will be prepared. At the same time, BJP MLAs have been asked to visit the district office at least once in 15 days. The CM has instructed all MLAs and ministers to use decent language and avoid making wrong statements.
