People got scared due to the arrival of leopard in Hisar, Haryana. The leopard injured 4 people including a woman. Teams from many departments including wildlife department, SDRF, police force, fire brigade were deployed to catch him. Teams remained busy to catch the leopard for about seven hours. Later we succeeded in catching him.
On Sunday morning, a newspaper seller had come to distribute newspapers at the bus stand in Rishi Nagar of Hisar. Then suddenly a leopard came in front of his bicycle. Seeing the person riding the bicycle, he suddenly ran towards a house. The newspaper seller informed people about the existence of a leopard. People there got scared. Due to fear of leopard, everyone locked their houses from inside. People informed the police.
Woman attacked and injured
The leopard came out of the house and reached the warehouse. From there he went and hid in a plot. To catch him, teams from many departments including wildlife department, SDRF, police force, fire brigade reached Rishi Nagar. Meanwhile, he injured a woman who was going to take medicine. The team laid a trap to catch him. An attempt was made to catch him but he ran away after injuring the worker holding the net.
Ran away from the trap, caught after injection of unconsciousness
Two employees were injured while trying to catch the leopard. Hearing the noise of the people, the leopard jumped 12 feet from there and entered another house. In an attempt to catch him, the team that came behind him imprisoned him in a room. The Forest Department team was successful in catching him in the third attempt. The leopard was caught after rendering it unconscious through injection. Earlier on 19 September 2018, a leopard had come near the Deer Park of Hisar.
