Haryana: Two sisters died after falling from the fourth floor of a house in Gurugram, investigation begins

Two sisters died after falling from the fourth floor of a house in Gurugram, Haryana. Both the sisters were over 20 years old and one of them worked as a maid in the same house. The house owner says that there is an electronic gate in his house, whose access code was known to one of the sisters. In such a situation, when the house was empty, both the sisters entered with the intention of stealing, but the house owner returned in time and both the sisters fell down from the balcony while trying to escape.

The incident is from Sector 40 of Gurugram. Two sisters over 20 years of age died after falling from the fourth floor of a businessman’s house here. Police officials said on Sunday that the landlord’s family claimed that they fell from the balcony while trying to escape after an “attempt to steal”, while the family of the deceased has alleged a conspiracy behind the deaths.

Police statement
The police said that no formal complaint of murder has been lodged so far. According to him, both have been identified as Chandni (23) and Rashmi (21), residents of Uttar Pradesh. Police say that Chandni used to work as a domestic help at the businessman’s house and about a month ago she left the job. Both the sisters lived in the servants’ room in this house.

Landlord returned midway
According to the police, the landlord told that he and his family members were going to Khatu Shyam temple in Sikar district of Rajasthan on Friday. However, they returned home after going some distance as they had forgotten to take their medicines. According to the police, on reaching home, they found that the main door was open, but then they heard a loud bang. As soon as they reached the balcony and looked down, they saw that both the sisters were lying below soaked in blood.

Police is examining CCTV footage
After falling down from the balcony, both the sisters were taken to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead. The house owner’s family suspects that both the women entered the house because Chandni knew the access code of the electronic lock. Sector 40 police station in-charge Lalit Kumar said that after the postmortem, the bodies have been handed over to the concerned family and the CCTV footage of the house is being examined.
