Hyderabad: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat spoke about India becoming a Vishwaguru (world leader) during an event in Hyderabad. He emphasized that India’s journey to becoming a Vishwaguru is not merely a matter of national ambition, but a global necessity. Speaking in Hyderabad, Mohan Bhagwat said that achieving this goal will require hard work, commitment, and an unwavering focus on the development of human values and social transformation. Mohan Bhagwat highlighted the importance of India’s role in the world as a leader in spiritual and moral guidance. He said, “Becoming a Vishwaguru is not our ambition.”
‘Technology will not become the master of humanity’
In Hyderabad, Mohan Bhagwat said, “Today, we have to show the world that technology will come, social media will be there, AI will come, everything will come. But technology will not have any negative consequences. Technology will not become the master of humanity. Humanity will remain the master of technology. And human intelligence will guide the use of technology towards the good of the world. It will not go towards demonic tendencies. It will go towards divine tendencies. How will this happen? How will we do this? We have to show it through our actions. We have to live it.”
‘We have to become ‘Vishwaguru’ again’
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said, “We have to work towards becoming ‘Vishwaguru’ again. Becoming a ‘Vishwaguru’ is not our ambition. It is the world’s need that we become a ‘Vishwaguru’. But it doesn’t happen automatically. It requires hard work. This hard work is being done through many streams. The Sangh is one of them. By focusing on personality development, we develop the personalities of people and send them to different workplaces to bring about change in society. Today, their work is appreciated everywhere. They earn the trust of society.”
‘We don’t want anything in return for service’
Mohan Bhagwat said, “Service is done for many reasons. Every five years, we see a flood of people who want to serve. They go door-to-door with folded hands and a big smile, and say, ‘Give us a chance to serve you.'” Now, there are many such people, and then you don’t see them again for five years. Why? Because the service is being rendered with the expectation of a reward later, therefore it is not true service. It is a transaction. We will do your work, you do our work. The right of a servant is only to serve and nothing else. Service is my duty, and I expect nothing in return.”
‘The resurgence of Sanatana Dharma is God’s will’
He further said, “That time has now come. 100 years ago, when Yogi Aurobindo declared that the resurgence of Sanatana Dharma is God’s will, and the rise of a Hindu nation is for the resurgence of Sanatana Dharma. India or the Hindu nation, and Sanatana Dharma, Hindutva, all these are one and the same. He had indicated that this process has begun. Now we have to continue that process. We see that the efforts of the Sangh in India and the efforts of Hindu volunteer organizations in their respective countries are similar, that is, to organize the Hindu community. To present an example of a society that lives a religious life to the whole world, to present examples of people who live a religious life. The effort is to create a situation where the conduct of the world changes based on that.”
