A young man was attacked with a sword while sitting outside his house in Bhim Nagar, Bhopal. A CCTV video of the attack has also surfaced. The video shows the victim being attacked with a sword. The incident took place in the Arera Hills police station area. The victim, Danish, was sitting outside his house in Bhim Nagar when four accused arrived in two vehicles and attacked him with a sword. The incident is reported to have occurred on the night of December 9th. The injured man received approximately 40 to 50 stitches.
The injured man’s wife has accused Addu, Anna, Vijay, and Shubham of the attack. The woman claims that these four people attacked her husband. However, all the accused, who are spreading terror, are still at large. Bhopal police are searching for the four attackers.
Two suspected Bangladeshis obtained passports fraudulently
In Bhopal, two suspected Bangladeshi nationals obtained Aadhaar cards and voter ID cards fraudulently, and then used them to obtain passports. Police have registered a case and launched a search for the two. A police officer said the matter came to light when security agencies received information about suspicious activities during the verification of the documents.
They came to study in 2014
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-4) Malkit Singh told PTI that the two accused, Rehan Ansari and Maqbool Ansari, are brothers and a case has been registered against them on charges of fraud. He said that a search is underway for both of them. Singh said that both the accused studied engineering in Bhopal between 2014 and 2018 and during this time, while living in a rented house in the Kolar Road police station area, they obtained Aadhaar cards and voter ID cards.
Process to cancel passports initiated
The police officer said that based on these documents, both of them also obtained passports. The police officer said that efforts are underway to locate both of them and all necessary steps are being taken to cancel their passports. The incident of obtaining passports based on fake documents has raised serious questions about the functioning of the passport department and the police department, as passports are issued by the Ministry of External Affairs only after police verification.
