Faridabad: A shocking incident has come to light in Faridabad, Haryana. In the NIT area, a woman, along with her lover, strangled her husband to death. Police announced the incident on Saturday. According to the police, an FIR has been registered at the NIT police station based on a complaint from the deceased’s family. Police say officials are currently questioning the deceased’s wife. The deceased’s father has filed a complaint with the police. According to reports, the wife has confessed to the crime.

Murdered at Her Parents’ Home
Surajpal, a resident of Krishna Nagar, reported the incident to the police. According to Surajpal’s complaint, his son Arun worked as a cleaner at a private hospital. Arun had been suffering from a fever for several days. On Thursday, the deceased’s wife, Poonam, took him to her parents’ home in the NIT 5 area on the pretext of getting him treated. There, she called her lover home and, after taking medication, strangled Arun to death while he was sleeping. The complaint claims that no one else was home at the time.

Called father-in-law after murder
Surajpal stated in his complaint, “After killing Arun, Poonam called me and told me that he had died due to illness. When we arrived at the scene, I saw deep marks on Arun’s neck. It appears he was strangled to death with a belt.” Following Surajpal’s complaint, police registered a murder case against Poonam and her lover.

Police arrested the wife
Police said Poonam was taken into custody and confessed to the crime. Investigating officer Assistant Police Inspector Naresh Kumar said, “According to the family, Arun and Poonam were married seven years ago. A dispute broke out between them soon after their marriage. Poonam has been taken into custody, while the identity of those involved in Arun’s murder will be revealed only after interrogation.” He added that the body has been handed over to the family after the post-mortem, and the investigation into the case is ongoing.
