In Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, miscreants who had come to see a house for rent sprayed pepper spray on a woman, robbed her of her gold jewelry, and fled.

A shocking robbery has been reported from Kakinada district in Andhra Pradesh, where robbers, posing as prospective tenants, sprayed pepper spray in the eyes of the landlady before robbing her. The culprits fled the scene after stealing gold jewelry and some cash. Police arrived at the scene after the incident and have launched a search for the suspects based on the woman’s complaint. Police are using CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators.

According to the police, three men arrived on a motorcycle at the house of Padipalli Subbalakshmi in Srirama Nagar Colony, Jaggampeta, Kakinada district. They told the woman they were looking to rent a room. The landlady unlocked the door and showed them the room. At that moment, the men took out pepper spray from their pockets and sprayed it in the landlady’s eyes. The woman screamed in pain.

Robbery at the woman’s house
The robbers, who had come with the intention of robbing her, first pushed the landlady to the ground and then stole the gold jewelry she was wearing and other gold kept in the house before fleeing. During the robbery, they locked the victim in a room. The landlady, who managed to get out with the help of locals, immediately filed a complaint at the police station. She stated that three men on a motorcycle had snatched her necklace, black beads, and some cash before escaping.

CCTV footage being examined
Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused. They are trying to identify the robbers based on CCTV footage from the area around the woman’s house. Police say that all the accused will be apprehended soon and the stolen goods will also be recovered. The robbery at the woman’s house has created an atmosphere of fear in the area. Local residents are also questioning the police’s handling of the situation.
