Bengaluru: In Bengaluru, Karnataka, the driver suffered a heart attack in a moving bus full of passengers. The bus belonged to Bangalore Metro Transport Corporation i.e. BMTC. The 40 year old driver Kiran Kumar died untimely due to a heart attack. He suddenly suffered a heart attack while driving the bus and died.
Conductor showed understanding
According to the information, today bus driver Kiran Kumar was driving vehicle number KA 57 F-4007 on route 256 M/1 from Nelamangala to Dasanpura. While on duty, Kiran Kumar suddenly suffered a heart attack and fell while driving. Bus conductor Obalesh showed understanding and immediately stopped the bus safely.

Passengers’ lives saved
When conductor Obalesh saw that the driver had fallen, he immediately took over the steering and parked the bus on the side of the road. This saved the lives of all the passengers in the bus and a major accident was averted. Obalesh then rushed the driver Kiran Kumar to the nearby V.P. Magnus Hospital where doctors declared him dead after examination. Obalesh informed the senior officials about the incident and also informed the family members of the deceased.
The incident was captured in the CCTV footage of the bus
The driver can be seen suddenly falling in the CCTV footage of the bus. He then turned the bus to the left and hit another BMTC bus. Bus conductor Obalesh brought the vehicle to a safe stop, ensuring the safety of the passengers on board and preventing any possible accident. The incident took place at 11 am.
According to BMTC, there were only 10 passengers on the bus and no injuries were reported inside the bus or on the road. BMTC officials said that Kumar was completely healthy and had no major health issues. In fact, the conductor and his other colleagues found him fit and normal even during the day. Kiran Kumar was a native of Hassan. He is survived by his wife and 5-year-old daughter.
