In Kolkata, Trinamool Congress’s National General Secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee attacked the BJP and the Election Commission over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and said that if the names of eligible voters are removed from the list, he will fight till Delhi.

On Monday, in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, Trinamool Congress National General Secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee attacked the BJP and the Election Commission over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). He said, “We have been saying from the beginning that if even one eligible voter is removed from the electoral rolls, the TMC will take this fight to Delhi.”

MP Abhishek Banerjee targeted the state BJP unit. He said that those who are acting as puppets of the central government to snatch Bengal’s identity and call us Bangladeshis for speaking Bengali will also be challenged in the national capital. Abhishek Banerjee said that the Election Commission is secretly working with the Modi government. If so, the Commission is working for the BJP. His party is ready to fight this battle with all its might.

TMC MP questions BJP and ECI
Abhishek also questioned the BJP and ECI. He asked, “If 5-6 people have already died, were they valid or invalid voters?” There are many such questions that the Election Commission is avoiding answering. He said, “I appeal to you not to fall prey to the CAA camps being set up here. If anyone goes to those camps, they may face the same fate as the victims in Assam, where people were sent to detention centers.”

No one needs to fear
MP Abhishek Banerjee further said that no one needs to fear. His party workers are on the ground. Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, BLOs will go door-to-door. Help desks and camps will be set up, and ward rooms will be activated in every constituency. MPs and MLAs will also be on duty, so there is nothing to fear.
