New Delhi: Police in the capital Delhi have arrested a teenager for the murder of a person. The teenager is accused of killing his mother’s lover and throwing his body in a park pond. According to the police, the accused, angry with his mother’s alleged affair, killed her lover by attacking him with a brick. According to the police, the teenager planned the murder along with his friend and executed it.

Body found in the park pond

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Abhishek Dhania said, “We received information through a PCR call at Ghazipur police station on Monday that a person’s body was found in the pond of Smritivan Park. The team immediately reached the spot and recovered the body of a 24-year-old man partially submerged in the water. The body was identified as Rahul Singh Bisht, a resident of Uttarakhand. He had several injuries on his head. He said that the forensic team collected evidence and the body was taken to LBS Hospital.

Had a relationship with the woman for two years

He said that on the basis of preliminary investigation, a case of murder was registered and investigation was started. The statement said, “Four teams of Ghazipur police, Anti-Narcotics Squad (ANS), Special Staff and AATS were deployed. The teams analysed CCTV footage, Call Detail Record (CDR) and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras. During the investigation, the team found that Rahul Singh Bisht was in constant touch with a woman.” The statement said that on interrogation, the woman admitted that she had a relationship with Rahul Singh Bisht for two years.

Murdered by attacking with brick
The statement said, the woman told that Rahul came to her house drunk last night and created a ruckus, she asked her son to drop him home. Police said that the woman’s son has been caught and during interrogation he confessed that instead of taking Rahul home, he and his friend took him to Smritivan Park. According to the police, the teenager told that they attacked him with a brick, due to which he died on the spot. They then dumped the body in a pond and fled. Police said the two teenagers were caught while trying to flee from Delhi and further investigation is underway in the case.
