In view of the Bihar Assembly elections, Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati made a major statement in Shivhar. He described cow protection as a national duty and said that we stand with anyone who advocates for cow protection. Regarding the question of an alliance with Asaduddin Owaisi, he said that an alliance can be formed with anyone, but first they should stand up for cows. If they stand up for cow protection, then an alliance is absolutely possible.
He further said, “Only those who can call our mother their mother can be our brother; this is our simple principle. We don’t look at who is calling the cow their mother. The cow is our mother, and if she is his mother too, then we are brothers.”

Shankaracharya said, “Look, when Eknath Shinde was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and is still with the BJP, he called Gau Mata the Mother of the State. We have no problem with the BJP, but what the BJP is doing, the impression is being created that we will keep slaughtering cows, we will not stop cow slaughter, even after that Hindus are forced to vote for us, so we want to remove this impression.
