New Delhi on Saturday night completely rejected Pakistan’s attempts to blame India for the suicide attack in the Waziristan area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. At least 13 security personnel were killed and 24 injured in this attack.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that we have seen the official statement of the Pakistani Army, in which India has been blamed for the attack in Waziristan on June 28. The ministry said that we completely reject this statement.

13 killed in suicide attack

In fact, at least 13 security personnel were killed in a suicide attack in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that in a well-planned cowardly attack, the terrorists targeted a convoy of security forces in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district.

According to the ISPR, a suicide bomber rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle of the bomb disposal unit in Khaddi village on Saturday morning. He said that 14 civilian personnel, including women and children, were injured in the attack, many of whom are said to be in critical condition.

Usud al-Harb claimed responsibility for the attack

Sources said that curfew was imposed in the area due to military movement at the time of the incident. Security agencies have launched a rescue operation after the blast. He said that Usud al-Harb, a terrorist group affiliated to the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, has claimed responsibility for the attack. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has strongly condemned the suicide attack.

The Chief Minister expressed grief

The Chief Minister said that we salute the brave security personnel and their families who have sacrificed their lives for the country. The incident is being described as one of the deadliest incidents in North Waziristan in recent months and has raised serious concerns about the security situation in the region. Following the breakdown of the ceasefire agreement between the government and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in November 2022, Pakistan has witnessed a rise in terrorist incidents, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.
