INDIA CHINA Dispute: China said- India occupied Arunachal in 1987…we ruled there earlier, Jaishankar’s reply- Dragon’s claims are absurd

The border dispute between India and China, the most populous country in the world, remains a big issue. These two countries are not only neighbours but are also the largest countries in the continent of Asia. Their economy is growing at the fastest pace in the world.

China, which has become the largest supply chain on the world stage by leaving behind America and Japan, keeps trying to scare other Asian countries with its threat.

China especially keeps eyeing India. China claims that India’s Arunachal Pradesh is the southern part of its Tibet. It has given another name to Arunachal Pradesh in Mandarin language. The Chinese government says that India had illegally occupied Arunachal. China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian recently said that India illegally settled Arunachal Pradesh on Chinese land in 1987.

‘This international border has never been demarcated’

Chinese spokesperson Lin Jian said- “China has always been opposing India’s illegal occupation and even today we stand by our statement.” Jian further said- “The border between China and India has never been demarcated. This international border is divided into Eastern Sector, Western Sector and Sikkim Sector. In the Eastern Sector, Zangnan (Arunachal Pradesh) is our part. Before India occupied it, China effectively ruled here. This is the basic fact which cannot be denied.”

‘China’s claims were absurd before and are absurd even today’

This statement of China has come after the statement of Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, in which he said that China does not accept the border agreements with India. It breaks the border agreements made between the two countries… In such a situation, relations between these two big countries are not normal. Jaishankar had said during a program in Singapore on Saturday (March 23) – “China has claimed our territory Arunachal. These claims were absurd from the beginning and remain absurd even today. Why should they be accepted?”
