New Delhi: Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is considered the biggest helper in the crisis of foreign countries. Be it an earthquake somewhere abroad, a war, flood, drought or fire situation… India has proved to be the most helpful in all situations. India on Tuesday sent the second consignment of relief material, including 40 tonnes of medicines and other supplies, to flood-hit Kenya. This consignment of Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief (HADR) was sent to the African country in an army transport aircraft.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar wrote on social media platform ‘X’, “The second consignment of HADR material consisting of 40 tonnes of medicines, medical supplies and other equipment has left for Kenya to assist the flood victims. (We) stand for a historic partnership, Vishwabandhu for the world.” The first consignment of relief material was sent to Kenya last week. According to Kenyan government data, catastrophic floods have affected many parts of the African country and killed at least 267 people.
From Türkiye-Syria to Nepal, India provided help in times of crisis.
India also provided tremendous help in the devastating earthquake that occurred in Türkiye-Syria last year. India had sent its army and medical aid as well as food and logistics material to Türkiye. Similarly, during the earthquake in Nepal, the Indian government also provided relief and humanitarian aid. Apart from this, India is also providing humanitarian aid to the victims of Russia-Ukraine war and Israel-Hamas war.
