Here, fighter planes had to be sent to safely land an Air India Express plane which had received a bomb threat.
Two fighter planes were sent
Singapore’s Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen tweeted on Tuesday that Air India Express received an email that there was a bomb in the plane AXB684 going to Singapore. After this, two RSAF F-15SGs fighter planes of the Singapore Air Force took off and took the plane away from the populated areas. After this, the plane was safely landed at Singapore Changi Airport at around 10.04 pm.
Investigation of the plane continues
Singapore’s Defense Minister has said that our ground based air defense etc. has been activated. After landing, the Air India plane has been handed over to the airport police. The plane is being investigated. The Defense Minister of Singapore has thanked the Air Force for this work.
Air India plane also landed in Canada
On the other hand, another Air India flight going from Delhi to Chicago has been diverted to Iqaluit Airport in Canada. This information has been given by the airline official. Flight AI127, flying from Delhi to Chicago on October 15, 2024, was landed at Iqaluit Airport in Canada after a security threat. At the same time, an Indigo plane going from Daman to Lucknow received a bomb threat, after which the plane was made to make an emergency landing at Jaipur Airport.
