India vs Zimbabwe T20 Series:-Team India has to play a 5-match T20 series against Zimbabwe from July 6. BCCI recently announced a squad of 15 players for this tour, in which Shubman Gill was given the captaincy.

VVS Laxman was made the coach of the team. On Tuesday, BCCI informed that the team has left for this tour with Laxman. However, the surprising thing is that the Indian team has left with only 10 players of the squad.

Why did the team leave with 10 players?

Team India’s coach VVS Laxman has left for Zimbabwe tour with only 10 players. In such a situation, the biggest question is why this happened and where did the rest of the players stay. Actually, out of the 15 players announced for this tour, 5 players had gone to West Indies for the T20 World Cup. Since the final match, all these players are currently stuck in Barbados due to the storm.

Shivam Dubey, who came as a replacement for Nitish Reddy, was a part of Team India’s playing XI. Apart from him, Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rinku Singh and Khalil Ahmed, who are in the reserves, are also in the West Indies. All airports were closed due to Hurricane Beryl, so they had to stay there. Due to the storm, no player was allowed to leave the hotel. According to the latest reports, all the players who went to West Indies for the World Cup can return to India by Wednesday.

When will the 5 players go to Zimbabwe?

The first effort of the BCCI is to evacuate all the players stranded in Barbados. For this, a special flight has been arranged, which will bring them to Delhi by July 3. However, the BCCI has not yet clarified whether the 5 players going on the Zimbabwe tour will first come to Delhi or will leave for Zimbabwe directly from Barbados. The first match against Zimbabwe is on July 6, so they will still have a chance of 2 days in between.
