The Indian Navy has successfully test fired multiple anti-ship missiles in the Arabian Sea, demonstrating their long-range precision strike capability and combat readiness. The Navy said the exercise reaffirms its preparedness to protect the country’s maritime interests “anytime, anywhere, anyhow.” A video shared by the Navy showed BrahMos anti-ship and anti-surface cruise missiles being launched from several frontline warships, including Kolkata class destroyers and Nilgiri and Krivak class frigates.

Tension between India and Pakistan
This show of strength has taken place amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack. 26 civilians were killed in the attack in Pahalgam. After this attack, India suspended all important agreements with Pakistan including the Indus Water Treaty and ordered Pakistani citizens to leave the country. Meanwhile, Pakistan has also suspended all bilateral agreements with India. After the attack in Pahalgam, continuous action is being taken by the Indian government and security forces.
