A controversy has erupted over the police stopping devotees from playing Holi with gulaal at the Govind Devji temple in Jaipur, Rajasthan on the occasion of Holi. Congress leader Pratap Singh Khachariyawas has launched a scathing attack on the BJP government in protest against the police action. He alleged that the government first misused the temple’s funds and is now playing with the faith of the people. Stopping a centuries-old tradition is reprehensible.

People are being stopped from playing Holi with gulaal color at the Govind Devji temple, the revered deity of the capital Jaipur. The police are chasing away the devotees who come to play Holi with gulaal. The tradition of playing Holi with gulaal in the Govind Devji temple has been going on for centuries. Congress leader Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said – BJP’s Sanatani government first ate 100 crores of Govind Devji temple and now is fooling people.

Congress leader made allegations
Congress leader Pratap Singh Khachariyawas took a dig at the government and said that this is the Sanatani government of BJP. First they looted the treasure of the temple and now they are playing with the faith of the people. The tradition of playing Holi with gulaal in the temple has been going on for centuries but now the police is chasing people away.

‘BJP government is committing sin’

Now devotees are being stopped from playing Holi with gulaal. This sin is being committed by the BJP government. The Congress leader said that the BJP government spends crores on programs like IIFA and does only politics in the name of religion. The Sanatani government of BJP first ate 100 crores of Govind Devji temple and now is harassing people.

Targeted the government
Pratap Singh Khachariyawas had earlier targeted the government and said that the BJP government of the state had given Rs 100 crore illegally in the program of India International Film Academy (IIFA) Awards. He said that in this, 50 crores were given by the state government, 30 crores by the tourism department and 20 crores by RIICO for the dance and singing program.
