Due to heavy rain, a river overflowed on Saturday midnight. Due to the rising river, many villages in four districts of West Sumatra province were flooded. He said many people were swept away in the flood and more than 100 houses and buildings were submerged. Cooled lava is a mixture of volcanic material and debris that flows down the slopes of a volcano in rain.

Search for missing people continues
By Sunday afternoon, rescue workers had recovered 19 bodies in the worst-hit Canduang village of Agam district and another nine in the neighboring district of Tanah Datar, the national search and rescue agency said in a statement. The agency said that 8 people died due to severe floods in Padang. It said rescue workers were searching for 18 missing people.
