Indonesia: Due to continuous heavy rains, 10 houses were badly destroyed in Ternate city, 13 people died and two were injured, the country’s disaster management agency warned people

Floods have once again wreaked havoc in Indonesia. People are very upset due to the continuous heavy rains in Indonesia. According to disaster management agency BNPB, heavy rains on Saturday caused floods. Due to this, 10 houses were badly destroyed in Ternate city. BNPB has forecast heavy rains in the next few days. Along with this, local people have been warned to be alert.

Floods caused a stir in Indonesia’s North Maluku region on Sunday. 13 people died due to floods, while two were injured. The country’s disaster management agency has also warned people. Spokesperson Abdul Muhri issued a statement appealing to follow the instructions of the authorities and said that we urge people to be vigilant and follow the instructions of the authorities regarding floods.

Efforts to evacuate victims continue

10 houses have been badly destroyed in Ternate city in the flood. Relief and rescue operations are going on for the people. BNPB said that a team has been deployed to help evacuate the victims. Search and rescue agencies are also continuously deployed on the spot. The work of evacuating victims from landslides and debris carried away by flood waters is going on.

Floods had occurred earlier also

Earlier also, Indonesia had suffered heavy losses due to sudden floods. This flood had occurred in May this year. Heavy rains and volcanic mudflows had caused devastation on the island of Sumatra. At least 37 people died and more than a dozen people went missing due to this. According to the National Disaster Management Agency, more than 100 houses and buildings were swept away in the floods.
