Defence Minister Rajnath Singh performed yoga with army personnel in Udhampur. During this, he emphasized on the yoga of society and thought by referring to Operation Sindoor. He said that not only a terrorist incident was carried out against India from across the border in Pahalgam, but India’s social and communal unity was also targeted. In response, the Indian Army not only foiled their plans but also took such a retaliatory action that Pakistan had to kneel down and only then Operation Sindoor was put to a halt. As we have said earlier that Operation Sindoor is not over yet.
Rajnath Singh said, “Operation Sindoor was not just a response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Through this operation, we have told Pakistan that the consequences of carrying out terrorist activities against India are going to be worse. Operation Sindoor is the next phase of the surgical strike of 2016 and the air strike of 2019. Through Operation Sindoor, we have told Pakistan that their campaign of giving thousands of wounds to India through terrorism is not going to succeed now. Any terrorist attack on Indian soil is going to cost Pakistan very dearly. India is fully prepared to take every kind of action against terrorism.” Remembering Somnath Sharma and Brigadier Usman
The Defence Minister said, “Pakistan wants to weaken India from within. But Pakistan should not forget that if Major Somnath Sharma sacrificed his life for the unity and integrity of India, then great men like Brigadier Usman have also sacrificed their lives for this country. Today I am present in Udhampur. At a distance of a few hours from here is the place of Nowshera where Brigadier Usman made the supreme sacrifice for Mother India.” Do yoga at the level of society and thought
Rajnath Singh said, “Today when our country is celebrating International Yoga Day, we should remember the true meaning of the word yoga. Yoga means to connect. Yoga is to connect every section of the society with the culture and soul of India. If even one section of the society is left behind in this work, then understand that the circle of unity and security of India is broken. Therefore, today we all should not only do yoga of the body but also do yoga at the level of society and thought. This work has to be done with great restraint and patience.”
Tell the soldiers the benefits of yoga
Rajnath Singh said, “I have got the opportunity to connect very closely with our forces. I have seen the inclination of our soldiers towards yoga even in the security forces. Many soldiers do yoga regularly. Its direct effect is visible on their discipline and dedication. Yoga prepares any soldier not only physically but also mentally, the benefits of which we also get to see in the war field.”
