Iran: Terror due to unknown attackers in Iran near the border with Pakistan, 9 people killed

Tehran: On Saturday, unknown gunmen killed 9 people in the south-east area of Iran adjacent to Pakistan. Due to this the tension between the two countries has increased again. Tehran police is trying to locate unknown attackers. This information was received from media reports. A report by the semi-official news agency ‘Mehr’ said that the shooting took place at a house near the city of Saravan in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchistan province. This has spread panic in the surrounding areas. No information has been received yet about the attackers.

It is being told that the victims were not Iranians. No official media outlet has reported the shooting in its news and no group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. Halwash, an advocacy group for the Baloch people, shared images online of what appeared to be the bodies of the victims. The group said three people were injured. It was also reported that he was a Pakistani citizen. He identified four people, saying all the victims were employees at a vehicle maintenance shop.

Pakistan had retaliated against Iran in this area
A few days ago, Pakistan had also carried out a retaliatory airstrike on Iran at the same place where unknown assailants had killed 9 people. Last week, Pakistan had retaliated in the same area, reportedly targeting terrorist hideouts, killing at least nine people. The attacks follow Iran’s attack on Pakistani soil on Tuesday, which killed two children in the south-western Balochistan province.
