The biggest Arab news is that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has chosen his son Mujtaba Khamenei as his successor. However, it has not been officially announced yet. American media reports that Khamenei is currently in a coma and due to the fear of illness, he chose Mujtaba as his successor in September itself. As soon as Mujtaba became the Supreme Leader of Iran, the proxies got emboldened and started organized attacks on Israel. How is Mujtaba Khamenei preparing an operation to destroy Israel and why are the proxies so emboldened?
The election of a new Supreme Leader has been done in Iran. As soon as the successor to Khamenei’s power was elected, the proxies got emboldened and on the night of 17 November, proxy organizations rained gunpowder on many cities of Israel from three directions. Iran’s biggest goal is the destruction of Israel. To achieve this goal, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei handled Iranian policies and strategies for 35 years.
After Nasrallah’s death, when Ayatollah Ali Khamenei led the prayers after many years, he also talked about destroying Israel and appeared in front of the public in the Grand Mosque of Tehran carrying a rifle which has become a symbol of Jihad, but the effect of age was visible on his gestures and voice. After this condolence meeting, Khamenei was not seen in public life and now it is reported that Khamenei is in coma due to illness.
Successor chosen in a secret manner
It is reported that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s successor has been chosen as his second son Mujtaba Khamenei. Iran’s Expert Assembly had elected Iran’s new Supreme Leader on 26 September itself. Khamenei himself had called 60 members of the Assembly and asked them to decide on the successor in a secret manner. The Assembly had unanimously agreed on the name of Mujtaba.
As soon as Mujtaba Khamenei’s name was elected, proxy organizations started raining ammunition on Israel. On the night of November 17, the Iraqi Resistance carried out drone and rocket attacks on Israel’s port city Eilat. Alert sirens of attacks started ringing in Eilat and people started running towards shelters. As soon as the alert sirens sounded, Israel’s air defense systems were activated and missiles leaving streaks of fire and smoke were seen in the Israeli sky, but Arab media claims that the Israeli defense system’s missile failed to stop the Iraqi resistance’s drone.
How much damage did Israel suffer?
A missile of the Israeli defense system fell near Eilat port. Apart from this, there is also a report of a missile of the Israeli defense system falling in the Jordan border. Although clear information about how much damage Israel suffered in these attacks is not available, but along with the Iraqi Resistance, Hezbollah has also carried out rocket attacks on Israeli cities. Iran’s Shia proxies, including Hezbollah, are expected to receive much more support during Mujtaba’s rule than they did during Ayatollah’s rule because 55-year-old Mujtaba is considered more radical than his father and is a staunch opponent of America.
Mujtaba Khamenei came into the limelight after the death of President Raisi. He was considered the next president of Iran, but Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had bigger plans for him. Mujtaba first came into the world’s eyes in 2009. Then in the presidential election, radical leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won over reformist leader Mir Hossein Mousavi. Reformist leaders claimed that there was massive rigging in the elections. After this, millions of people took to the streets. Mujtaba strictly crushed the ongoing protests in Iran, in which many people were killed.
Big network in Israel’s Palestinian section
It is said that Mujtaba’s people are sitting in Iran’s intelligence and other government agencies and he has a big network in Israel’s Palestinian section. After the Gaza war, Mujtaba Ali Khamenei was guiding Iran’s foreign policy and proxy operations from behind the scenes. Mujtaba’s strategy was also behind shifting Naeem Qasim to Tehran after the death of Hassan Nasrallah in the Israeli attack. In the month of October, Mujtaba had sent Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Lebanon in a special plane and Naeem Qasim was brought to Tehran in this plane.
Mujtaba Khamenei is rarely seen in public places and working silently is his style. Now Mujtaba has made a new plan for proxy war. On November 14 itself, Ali Larijani, leader of the Iranian Supreme Leader’s Advisory Council, visited Lebanon and Syria. It is believed that Mujtaba had sent Larijani on the tour. During this tour, Larijani met the leaders of different proxy organisations. It was decided in this meeting that small groups of proxies would attack Israel. Simultaneous attacks would be carried out on Israel from Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen. The information about Mujtaba becoming the supreme leader was also given in this meeting and only after this, attacks by all the organisations on Israel started from 15 November.
