Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei openly warned Israel, “Now we will neither delay nor hurry, we should now double our efforts and capabilities…”

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued an open warning to Israel and said that now we will neither delay nor hurry. Khamenei appeared in public for the first time on Friday after Iran’s missile attack on Israel, calling Iran’s attack a legitimate punishment for Israel’s crimes and calling for the continuation of this anti-Israel struggle. Delivering his first Friday prayer sermon in nearly five years, Khamenei said that Israel’s opponents should “double their efforts and capabilities now… and resist the aggressive enemy”. What Khamenei said now is like adding fuel to the fire.

Khamenei gave a statement in Arabic and Farsi

Speaking alternately in Arabic and Farsi, Khamenei praised Nasrallah, Iran’s top paramilitary ally in the region, and said that the focus of the US and its allies was to preserve Israel’s security in order to seize the region’s resources.

“Our resistant people in Lebanon and Palestine, all these testimonies and shed blood will not shake your will, but strengthen your firmness,” Khamenei said. “Israel pretends to win through killings, destruction, bombing and murder of civilians. This behavior increased the motivation of the resistance. This reality shows us that every attack launched by any group against Israel is a service to the region and all of humanity,” Khamenei said.

Attack on Israel legal and legitimate

Occasionally, Khamenei’s hand grasped the barrel of a rifle standing at his left side as he spoke, a tradition that has been followed by Friday prayer leaders across the country for decades. Khamenei said Iran’s attack on Israel on Tuesday was “legal and legitimate” and was the minimum punishment for what he called Israel’s crimes. Khamenei told the large crowd that Iran “will neither delay nor hasten to fulfill its duty” in confronting Israel.

Let us tell you that Iran fired a volley of missiles against Israel on Tuesday, calling it a retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut on September 27 and the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July. Iran has blamed Israel for Haniyeh’s killing. Israeli officials have not claimed responsibility.
