Israel Hamas War: A phone conversation took place between US President Joe Biden and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu after aid workers were killed in Israeli air strikes in Gaza.

Washington: The war continues between Israel and Hamas. Israel is working on an attack plan against Hamas in Rafah city in southern Gaza. America is opposing this strategy of Israel and clearly says that instead of ground attacks, other options should be considered. Meanwhile, a phone conversation has also taken place between US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

America made its stand clear
In a phone conversation, US President Joe Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that US support for the Gaza war will depend on new steps being taken to protect civilians and aid workers. The thing to be seen is that this phone conversation took place between Biden and Netanyahu after the death of seven aid workers in the Israeli air strike in Gaza.

White House issued statement
After the phone conversation between the two top leaders, the White House issued a statement saying, “President Joe Biden has made it clear to Israel the need to take appropriate steps to protect civilians and aid workers.” It said, “The President made clear that US policy regarding Gaza will be determined by an assessment of Israel’s immediate action.”

‘There must be accountability’
Earlier, President Joe Biden had expressed grief over the death of aid workers in Gaza and criticized Israel. He had said, ‘Not enough has been done to protect the citizens.’ He had said, “Israel has promised to thoroughly investigate why the aid workers’ car came under attack.” Biden had said in his statement that the investigation should be fast, there should be accountability and its results should be made public.

‘It is difficult to send humanitarian aid to Gaza’
The US President had said, “Sadly, this is not the first incident. This attack has been one of the most dangerous attacks. Israel has left no way to deliver aid to Gaza and that is why there is humanitarian crisis in Gaza. It has been difficult to send aid. Israel has not done enough to protect civilians. The US has repeatedly urged Israel to be compassionate towards civilians.

Aid workers killed in attack
Let us also mention here that recently, six international aid workers working for the ‘World Central Kitchen’ group and their Palestinian driver were killed in Israeli air strikes in Gaza. This attack was condemned worldwide and reactions from many heads of states were also seen. The dead included people who had no connection with the war. All of them were aid workers and were providing food aid in Gaza.
