The White House said in a statement that Biden reiterated his “clear stance” amid Israel’s plan to attack the city of Rafah, located on the southern edge of Gaza. According to the statement, during a phone conversation with Netanyahu, Biden stressed the need to continue to move forward in providing humanitarian aid to Gaza and increase this supply. A US official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that the two leaders spoke on the phone for about an hour and they agreed that the responsibility of accepting the new proposal during the talks would be on Hamas. Netanyahu’s office has not yet given any information in this regard.
