Jaishankar said that people tell me that you are a diplomat, why are you so candid. Why are you so straight? On this he said that being straightforward is most important in diplomacy. When people understand you are straight, they take you seriously. They then feel honesty from you. It is necessary to be candid. At the Raisin Dialogue, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said that in all the recent conflicts, be it the Israel-Hamas war or the Ukraine-Russia war, the nature of war has changed. Therefore we now need to adopt the use of modern technologies. Technologies are becoming more affordable and accessible recently. We need investment in maritime capabilities now. At the event, Adm. John C. Aquilino, Commander of the US Indo Pacific Command of the United States, said that we must protect our force. The free flow of commerce must be protected.
