Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind organization will no longer participate in any program of leaders who call themselves secular like Nitish Kumar, Chandrababu Naidu, appealed to Muslim organizations to boycott their programs

New Delhi: Leading Muslim organization Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind said on Friday that it will boycott the Iftar, Eid Milan and other programs of Nitish Kumar, N Chandrababu Naidu and Chirag Paswan in view of their stand on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and other Muslim organizations should also do the same. Jamiat chief Maulana Arshad Madani alleged in a statement that these leaders are supporting the ‘anti-constitutional steps’ of the government.

Jamiat will boycott the programs of secular leaders

Arshad Madani said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has decided to stage a symbolic protest against those people who call themselves secular, who are silent on the atrocities and injustice being done to Muslims and are a part of the current government. Under this, now Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind will not participate in any program of such people, be it Iftar party, Eid Milan or any other event.

He claimed, “The kind of situation prevailing in the country at present and the injustice and atrocities being done to the minorities, especially the Muslims, is not hidden from anyone. But it is very unfortunate that the leaders who call themselves secular and sympathetic to Muslims, whose political success has also been contributed by Muslims, are not only silent in the greed for power, but are also indirectly supporting injustice.”

‘Leaders are silent on the injustice being done to Muslims’
Madani alleged that leaders like Nitish Kumar, Chandrababu Naidu and Chirag Paswan are not only ignoring the injustice being done to Muslims for the sake of power, but are also ignoring the Constitution and democratic values of the country. He said, “The attitude of these leaders on the Waqf Amendment Bill exposes their double character. These leaders adopt secularism only for the sake of showing to get the votes of Muslims, but after coming to power, they completely forget the issues of the Muslim community. In view of this, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind has decided that it will not provide legitimacy to the policies of such leaders by attending their events.”

Madani has also appealed to other Muslim organizations of the country to join this symbolic protest and avoid participating in events like Iftar party and Eid Milan of these leaders.
