New Delhi: Newly elected Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday. According to reports, during the meeting with Shah, Abdullah discussed issues related to Jammu and Kashmir, including the issue of early restoration of statehood. Abdullah, who arrived in Delhi for the first time after taking over as the CM of the state last week, held a meeting with the Home Minister for about 30 minutes. Abdullah later said that it was a courtesy call, during which he apprised the Union Home Minister of the situation in Jammu and Kashmir and also discussed the issue of restoring statehood.
