Three army personnel have been injured in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. A policeman has also been injured in the firing. Security forces had launched a search operation in Adigam area of Kulgam this morning. There was news of 2-3 terrorists hiding here. During the search operation, terrorists opened fire on the security forces. After this, the security forces also retaliated.
These soldiers were injured in the firing between security forces and terrorists. However, the search operation is still going on. The entire area has been cordoned off. Efforts are being made to nab the terrorists by conducting a joint operation.
The army, Jammu and Kashmir police and security agencies are also involved in this operation. The administration is keeping an eye on the entire situation. Terrorists are being continuously attacked in Jammu and Kashmir. Search operations are being conducted continuously to crack down on terrorists in the valley.
Recently, there was an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Gurinal village of Kishtwar. Firing started again after security forces established contact near Danna Dhar forest area.
During the earlier search operation, the presence of some terrorists was detected in the area. In view of this, the security forces surrounded the entire area. After this, firing started from both sides. Earlier, there was an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Kathua and Poonch.
6 Jaish-e-Mohammed associates arrested
Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday foiled a major plan of terrorists in Pulwama. Police arrested 6 Jaish-e-Mohammed associates. They were identifying youths and motivating them to join their terrorist organizations. Police took this action after receiving intelligence information. A large amount of weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the associates.
