Jammu And Kashmir: On Saturday, February 8, Indian soldiers patrolling near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir were fired upon from Pakistani territory. According to security officials, Indian soldiers retaliated immediately, due to which the attackers retreated. Although there is no information about any loss in this incident, but the army has been instructed to remain alert.
Security officials said that the firing was done from Pakistani posts ‘Tatiq-I’ and ‘Jabran Fwd (GF-9838)’. At that time Indian soldiers were patrolling near their post. The Indian Army also retaliated, due to which the situation was brought under control.
Strict vigil on LoC to prevent infiltration
Indian intelligence agencies claim that Pakistan has kept about 80 to 100 terrorists ready on launch pads across the Line of Control so that terrorist attacks can be carried out in Jammu and Kashmir during the summer. The army and security agencies have been put on high alert so that any infiltration attempt can be foiled immediately.
Defense Minister’s warning – Pakistan will get severe punishment
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh recently gave a strong warning to Pakistan in a rally of ex-servicemen in Akhnoor. He said that if Pakistan does not eliminate terrorist camps and launch pads in PoK, it will have to face serious consequences. He also said that the Indian Army is fully prepared to deal with every situation and no compromise will be made with the security of the country. While addressing the ex-servicemen, he assured that India will take every necessary step to protect its borders.
