The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police continued the cordon and search operation in Saniyal area of ​​​​Hiranagar on Monday as well. After receiving inputs regarding the presence of terrorists, soldiers of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Rising Star Corps launched a joint operation in the general area of ​​​​Saniyal on Sunday night.

Operation continues in Kathua

Security forces started a search operation on Sunday after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area. During this operation, terrorists started firing on army personnel. After which the encounter started.

Indian Army, Special Operations Group, CRPF, BSF personnel are engaged in this operation. During the search operation in the area, when the army personnel reached close to the terrorists, they were fired upon by the terrorists. After this, the security forces also retaliated. During this operation, a girl has also been injured who has been admitted to the hospital. Doctors say that the girl is out of danger.

When did the operation start

Actually, on Sunday, the local people saw heavily armed terrorists and informed the police about it. After getting the information, the CRPF and police immediately came into action mode and the team reached the location on the spot.

Three youths were killed

Earlier, three youths in Kathua went missing on March 5 while returning from a wedding in Marhoon village. A large-scale search operation was conducted with the help of army, police, drones and sniffer dogs to find them but they were not found. After this, on March 8, the bodies of the three youths were found in a hilly area near a waterfall. There was a stir regarding this incident. It was being said that the terrorists had killed all the three youths. A 14-year-old minor was also killed in this.

Earlier on March 17, there was an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Kupwara district, in which a Pakistani terrorist was killed.
