Vechar Nag Temple: After 35 years, a temple was opened in Soura area of Kashmir on Tuesday. This temple, known as Vechar Nag, held an important place in the 1990s. This temple issued annual calendars and fixed schedules for each day. On the re-opening of the temple after a long time, Kashmiri Pandits along with Muslims looked very happy and were present there in large numbers on this occasion.
What did the Kashmiri woman say?
Regarding the opening of the temple, a Kashmiri Pandit woman says that it feels very good to see this. Even after living in Srinagar, I have not been able to visit this place till date. When I entered here, it was nice to see the view here. The Kashmiri woman further said that when we were passing through the streets, we saw an example of brotherhood. Muslim women were seeing that Kashmiri Pandits had come. We were living here 34 years ago, those days should come back. Today I visited the temple, thanks to those who brought it.
‘Even if religions are different, there should be Hindu-Muslim unity’
Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya was especially present on this occasion. While congratulating Chaitra Navratri, Bandaru Dattatreya said that it has been our tradition for a very long time. Nature runs the whole world. It is important to preserve our eternal tradition. He further said that there should be Hindu-Muslim unity in the country. Even though religions may be different. All Kashmiris should rise above all these things and unite. I want to congratulate all the Muslim brothers on the occasion of Ramadan and Eid.
