Jammu Kashmir Lok Sabha Election 2024: All India Kashmiri Hindu Forum (AIKHF), an organization of Kashmiri Pandits, merged with Jammu and Kashmir Congress on Saturday (April 14). Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee President Vikar Rasool Wani welcomed AIKHF President Ratan Lal Bhan and other office bearers of the organization into the Congress party at the party headquarters in Jammu. All India Kashmiri Hindu Forum (AIKHF) was formed in 1998.
State Congress President Vikar Rasool Wani told reporters that the joining of hundreds of AIKHF members in the Congress is a big encouragement for the party. Wani also called upon all organizations of Kashmiri Pandits to join the Congress party.
Didn’t work even for 10 paisa
Accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led central government of ‘fooling’ the community for the last 10 years. According to state Congress president Wani, “The Bharatiya Janata Party, in coming to power, publicized the plight of Kashmiri Pandits across the country and assured the community that they would do a lot for their rehabilitation, which gave them hope, but the BJP She has been in power for the last 10 years and has not been able to do even 10 paisa work for Kashmiri Pandits.
The sentiments of Kashmiri Pandits are linked to Congress.
State Congress president Wani said, “I appeal to other Kashmiri Pandit groups to come back to the Congress because the BJP has only been fooling them for the last 10 years. The Nehru family is originally from Kashmir and has great sympathy for the displaced Pandits. There is a similar feeling in the entire Congress party. ,
Manmohan did a lot for Pandits
All India Kashmiri Hindu Forum (AIKHF) Ratan Lal Bhan said that he decided to merge his organization with Congress. The government led by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had done a lot for Kashmiri Pandits. Ratan Lal Bhan said, “We feel as if we are back in our family.”
