Jehanabad Accident: A vehicle carrying Buddhist monks from Patna to Gaya met with an accident in Jehanabad on Wednesday (09 October) morning. The tourist bus overturned in a roadside ditch after being hit by a truck. Eight tourists were injured in this accident. The incident took place near Salempur village in Kadauna police station area. After the accident, all the injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Three Buddhist monks were seriously injured, who were referred to PMCH by doctors after first aid.
23 Buddhist monks were on the tourist bus
According to the information, a tourist bus full of Buddhist monks was going from Nepal to Bodh Gaya via Patna. Suddenly this accident happened near Salempur village in Jehanabad. Regarding the incident, tourist guide Shiv Shankar said that 23 Buddhist monks in the bus were returning to Bodh Gaya after renewing their visa from Nepal.
There were tourists from Vietnam, Myanmar and America in the bus.
The tourist guide said that an uncontrolled truck hit the bus on NH-83 near Salempur village in Jehanabad. Eight people were injured in the incident. Others are safe. He said that there were tourists from Vietnam, Myanmar and America in the bus. They are undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital.
Meanwhile, Sadar Hospital doctor BK Shahi said that eight tourist passengers were injured in the road accident. Three of them are in critical condition and are being referred to Patna after first aid. Police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. All the injured were taken to Sadar Hospital. In this case, Kadauna police officer Nand Kumar said that the truck hit the tourist bus. This caused the accident. Eight passengers were injured in this incident while other passengers in the bus are safe.
