In Jharkhand’s sub-capital Dumka, miscreants created a sensation by carrying out a double murder late on Sunday night. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took both the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem. Police has said that the reason for this incident is property dispute. Actually this family was living in their maternal home. It is being told that there was a dispute in this family regarding the property of maternal grandfather. Police is investigating the matter.
The incident is from Paharpur village of Gopikandar police station area in Dumka. The deceased couple has been identified as Mohan Soren and his wife Boronica Hembram. Police has deployed a team of dog squad and forensic experts to investigate the matter. According to the police, the deceased couple was living in Paharpur village for many years. This village belongs to Mohan Soren’s maternal uncle. It is being told that Mohan was having a property dispute with his maternal uncle and his family members.
Miscreants slit their throats while they were sleeping
Police suspect that the couple was murdered due to this land dispute. According to the locals, the incident happened late on Sunday night. Mohan Soren’s family had dinner and slept in their house. Meanwhile, the miscreants armed with sharp weapons entered the house and without giving them a chance to recover, slit the throat of the couple and killed them. After the incident, the miscreants quietly fled from the spot.
The farmer was also shot
The neighbours came to know about the matter in the morning. After this, the information was given to the police. This is not the first incident in Dumka. Earlier also, a farmer working in the field in a village of Nagari police station area was shot. The farmer seriously injured in this incident has been admitted to RIMS Hospital in Ranchi, where his condition remains critical. In this case, the police have detained 2 suspects.
