An old man was brutally beaten to death in Mirzachowki, Sahibganj, Jharkhand. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. However, the accused who committed the crime was absconding. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to investigate the entire incident. Now the SIT team has revealed the whole matter. The accused was none other than a relative. The police has arrested him.
The body of Mangal Baski, a resident of Lalmatia in Godda district, was recovered near Basaha village in Mirzachowki. After this, an SIT team was formed under the leadership of SDPO Kishore Tirki by the SP of Sahibganj. The SIT identified the deceased and interrogated the family members.
Confessed the crime after strict interrogation
The family members had told the SIT that Mangal Baski was working in ECL company. He had gone to attend a wedding procession in Kirtaniya village of Mirzachowki in Sahibganj district. During this time, he met his son-in-law Anil Tudu. After this, the police took Anil into custody and strictly interrogated him, then he confessed his crime.
The crime was committed in Basaha village
The police said that son-in-law Anil was pressurizing his father-in-law Mangal to make him his son-in-law. He was also demanding to give him his salary. His father-in-law Mangal Baski was opposing this. Meanwhile, Anil took father-in-law Mangal Baski on his motorcycle, saying that he would take him to the place of the wedding procession and took him to Basaha village. Here, in a deserted place, Anil and a minor attacked father-in-law Mangal Baski with sticks and stones. Mangal died in this attack. After committing the crime, the accused fled from the spot.
The SIT team took son-in-law Anil Tudu into custody on the basis of interrogation of the family members of the deceased Mangal Baski. Anil confessed to the crime during police interrogation. The police arrested Anil Tudu and sent him to jail.
