Elections in Jharkhand are near and the dates have also been announced. Voting will be held in two phases on 13 and 20 November for 81 seats of Jharkhand and the results will be declared on 23 November. Before the elections, BJP MLAs are leaving parties and joining other parties. On Monday, former MLAs Louis Marandi and Kunal Sarangi left BJP and joined Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Now Louis Marandi told the reason for leaving BJP.
After joining JMM, Louis Marandi said that we have given a very long time to the party. We did not consider night as night and we kept serving the people continuously. We followed every instruction of the party very honestly but when the elections came, the party told us that you have to contest elections from Barhet. We have given 24 years to Dumka, so how will we go to Barhet and contest elections. We do not know a single thing about that place, whereas I know every single thing about Dumka but we have never visited Barhet. That’s why we said that we will not contest elections from Barhet.
Talking with Chief Minister Hemant Soren
He further said that despite our refusal, the candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party were announced and someone else’s name came from Dumka. After this, we decided that when we have pledged to serve the people, then service is also done in a simple way, which we have been doing for the last five years, but in reality, the service is not done as it should be. A platform is needed for this. That’s why we want to contest elections. Then we talked to the honorable Chief Minister Hemant Soren and he readily accepted.
Joining Jharkhand Mukti Morcha
Former MLA Louis Marandi directly told the reason for leaving BJP that he was not given a ticket from Dumka seat. Because this time BJP has given ticket to Sunil Soren from Dumka. Angered by this, Louis Marandi decided to leave the party and join Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. She has been a minister in the former Raghuvar Das government.
