Kanpur: Additional District Judge Satyendra Nath Tripathi convicted Irfan Solanki in the arson case, Irfan Solanki, four-time MLA from Sisamau, lodged in Maharajganj jail

The court has found 5 people, including SP MLA Irfan Solanki from Sisamau in Kanpur, guilty of arson. Now, their sentence is to be debated on 7 June. This case is 2 years old, in which the woman had accused 5 people, including Irfan Solanki, of setting fire to her house. A case was registered against them under several sections of the IPC.

Kanpur’s Additional District Judge Satyendra Nath Tripathi on Monday convicted Irfan Solanki. Irfan Solanki, MLA from Sisamau for four consecutive terms, is lodged in Maharajganj jail. Apart from this, Irfan’s brother Rizwan Solanki, Shaukat Pehelwan, Mo Sharif and Israel Atawala have also been found guilty in this case. The trial in this case was going on for a long time. The charge sheet was filed by the Jajmau police.

What was the whole matter?

A woman living in Defense Colony of Jajmau in Kanpur had accused SP MLA Irfan Solanki, his brother Rizwan Solanki and his associates of setting fire to her house. According to the woman Fatima, on 7 November 2022, when she went to a wedding with the family. Meanwhile, Irfan, Rizwan and their associates beat the son and tried to push him by setting the house on fire. When a case was registered against Solanki in the case, he absconded.

Sharif is on bail, 3 accused in Kanpur jail

Irfan Solanki is lodged in Maharajganj jail in the case, while his brother Rizwan, Sharif Shaukat and Israel Aata Wala were in Kanpur jail, currently Sharif is out of jail on bail. The trial of this case was completed in the month of March itself. The decision in the case was to come on March 14, but due to some reason it kept getting delayed. Irfan Solanki and his associates were produced in the court on Monday. Now on June 7, there will be a debate on their punishment.
