KARNATAKA: A man was stabbed to death following a heated argument over a piece of meat during a post-wedding reception

A shocking case has come to light from Karnataka’s Belagavi district. During a post-wedding banquet, a heated argument broke out over an extra piece of meat. During this, the dispute escalated so much that a 30-year-old man was stabbed to death. The incident took place on Sunday on the outskirts of Yaragatti town in Belagavi district. After this incident, the festive atmosphere turned into mourning.

Argument over the number of pieces of meat

According to the information given by the police, the deceased has been identified as Vinod Malashetty. Vitthal Harugop allegedly attacked Vinod after an argument over the number of pieces of meat. This dinner was organized by newlywed Abhishek Koppad for friends on his farm after his wedding ceremony. The argument escalated so much that Vitthal angrily stabbed Vinod in the stomach. Vinod died on the spot due to excessive bleeding.

Arrested for threatening people by waving a sword
In another news, a man was arrested for publicly threatening people by waving a sword in a village in Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka on Monday afternoon. Police said that a man started threatening people with a sword in his hand in Boluvaru area of Kasba village in Puttur of Dakshina Kannada district, after which Puttur Nagar police reached the spot and arrested the accused. During interrogation, the accused was identified as Raju (45), a resident of Hassan, who is currently living in Bantwal. Police are questioning the accused. Police said that a case has been registered in connection with the incident. Police are investigating the matter to find out why the accused threatened people and whether more people are involved in this case.
