An architecture student in Madanayakanahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka committed suicide by hanging himself after making a selfie video. The deceased has been identified as Varun, son of Channakeshav and Tulsi, who live in Hassan district of Karnataka. His age is said to be 22 years. Arun had recorded a selfie video before committing suicide, in which he mentioned facing ragging by some of his college mates. He reportedly shared this video on the college’s official WhatsApp group before hanging himself at his home.
The deceased Varun lived with his parents in Palya, Nandaramayya. His parents used to work as laborers to support their child. Arun returned home from college on July 10. However, he committed suicide on July 11, when his parents had gone to work.
The student was troubled by ragging
It is being told that the deceased Arun used to be troubled by ragging by friends in college. Before dying, he recorded a video talking about ragging by his friends and shared it in the college group. As soon as the video was found, the college immediately informed his family. After this, his parents who had gone to work rushed home, but by then it was too late and Varun had committed suicide by hanging himself. Seeing the scene, the parents were shocked and there was screaming and crying in the family.
Police engaged in investigation
Arun used to study in a prestigious college in Bangalore. He was a promising student. He always stood first in school and college. This was the reason why he got a seat in a prestigious college in Bangalore. He was fond of painting. He could draw anyone’s picture in just a few minutes. Arun had earned a lot of praise by drawing pictures of many famous personalities and film stars. A case has been registered in the Madanayakanahalli police station and the police is investigating the matter.
