Karnataka: BJP MP Ananthkumar Hegde targets Siddaramaiah, calls him ‘Siddharamulla Khan’, Karnataka CM calls BJP ‘anti-Muslim’

Bharatiya Janata Party MP Ananthkumar Hegde has made serious allegations against the Congress, calling Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ‘Siddharamulla Khan’. Hegde alleged that Karnataka is on the verge of bankruptcy under the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government and does not even have money to pay salaries to employees and funds to MLAs. He accused Siddaramaiah of looting the state to gain votes. Hitting back at Hegde, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah termed the BJP as ‘anti-Muslim’ and ‘anti-minority’.

‘PM Modi never compromised with the national interest’
Former Union Minister Hegde said, ‘Modi brought more than 370 schemes or programs for the benefit of the people. Be it agriculture, horticulture, industry, housing or Jan Aushadhi, Modi has brought schemes for the welfare of the people in almost all areas. He said that Modi did not start such schemes which will bankrupt the government, but he has strengthened it. Hegde said that India has emerged as the fifth largest economy today. Addressing a party program, Hegde said that PM Modi never compromised with the interest of the country and the guarantees of his government have made the country stronger.

‘Karnataka government does not even have money to pay salaries’
Hegde said, ‘But here our Siddharamullah Khan claims to give guarantees while the government has no money to pay salaries to government employees, for development works, to provide funds to MLAs.’ He said that more than Rs 11 thousand crore of SC/ST fund money is being diverted elsewhere. Reacting to Hegde calling him ‘Siddharamullah Khan’, Siddaramaiah said BJP is ‘anti-minority’. Siddaramaiah said, ‘They (BJP) talk about Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas but they oppose Muslims. If it is not so then why would he call me Siddharmullah Khan? He is anti-minority.
