Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has removed his political secretary K. Govindaraj from the post with immediate effect after the Bengaluru stampede in which 11 people died.

A stampede occurred due to heavy crowd outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, in which 11 people died, including a 14-year-old girl.

After this accident, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took major action and removed his political secretary and MLC K. Govindaraj from his post.

The Chief Minister was angry with the ‘double standards’

The order issued by the government said that Govindaraj has been removed from the post with immediate effect. According to sources, the Chief Minister was angry with Govindaraj’s attitude as he gave wrong information to the Chief Minister before the accident and later changed the statement in the media.

What happened before the accident?

Before the accident, a meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s residence, in which the Police Commissioner refused to allow three big events to be held simultaneously. But Govindaraj recommended to conduct RCB’s victory parade. Later, he claimed in a newspaper that he had forbidden him from doing so. This is what the Chief Minister was very upset about.

Govindraaj also accused of pressurizing the police

According to sources, Govindraj also tried to pressurize the police to save some big names. For this reason, the Chief Minister immediately removed him from the post. However, Govindraj has clarified that the media printed his statement incorrectly.

4 arrested including RCB marketing head

RCB marketing head Nikhil Sosale was arrested from Bengaluru airport on Friday morning in this stampede case. Apart from this, three officials of DNA Entertainment Private Limited have also been arrested, including the company’s vice president Sunil Mathew. This company handles the work of events related to IPL.
