Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, who entered the battle of Maharashtra, reached Solapur. While addressing the public meeting in Solapur, the CM fiercely targeted PM Modi. He said, if PM Modi proves his allegations against Congress in Karnataka, then I will retire from politics.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a gathering in Maharashtra, said, these days states like Himachal Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka have become ATMs of the royal family of Congress. People are saying that these days the recovery in Karnataka has doubled in the name of elections in Maharashtra.
CM Siddaramaiah challenged the PM
CM Siddaramaiah addressed a public meeting in Solapur on Saturday in the interest of Mahavikas Aghadi. The CM hit back at PM Modi and said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes and tells white lies and goes away. If he can prove his allegations, then I will announce my retirement from politics. He also said, why does PM Modi not accept this challenge of mine? What is he afraid of?
CM Siddaramaiah said, PM Modi said that welfare guarantees will ruin the economy but BJP has announced to give similar guarantees in the elections of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. He further asked why PM Modi is resorting to white lies. Modi government has told where their priorities are. They waived off 16 crore loans of the rich, while they have failed to waive even a rupee for poor farmers.
Targeted Maharashtra BJP
CM Siddaramaiah hit back at PM Modi’s Karnataka statement and said, let the leaders of Maharashtra BJP check the facts and if they can prove me wrong, then I will retire from politics. He also said, but if I am proved right, will he apologize to the people of Maharashtra and announce his retirement from politics.
Karnataka CM said, we have decided that we will file a case against Maharashtra BJP for publishing false advertisements. Karnataka pays Rs 4.5 lakh crore central tax annually and in return it gets only Rs 60,000 crore.
“Karnataka government fulfilled its guarantee”
PM Modi had said that the Karnataka government is unable to fulfill its promises made to the people. Countering this, CM Siddaramaiah said, the Karnataka government has implemented all its 5 guarantees. Women have benefited from the state government’s Shakti scheme. He also appealed to the people of Maharashtra to vote in the interest of the Maha Vikas Aghadi. Voting will be held on November 20 in a single phase for 288 seats in Maharashtra. After this, the results will be declared on November 23.
What did PM Modi say?
PM Modi had accused the Congress by posting on social media handle X. He had said, in Karnataka, the Congress is busy in intra-party politics and looting instead of caring about development. Not only this, they are also going to withdraw the existing schemes. He also said that the Congress government is extorting money in Karnataka for the Maharashtra elections.
