DK Shivakumar Slaps Congress Worker: The campaign for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 is over and voting is to be held on May 7. Before that, a video of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar is going viral on social media in which he can be seen slapping a Congress worker. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has targeted DK Shivkumar and Congress Party regarding this video.
According to the report of Hindustan Times, this video is from the time when DK Shivakumar had come to Haveri, Karnataka to hold an election rally to campaign for Congress Lok Sabha candidate Vinoda Asuti from Dharwad. The clip starts with him coming out of the car and a crowd of people and Congress workers surrounding him.
DK Shivakumar slaps Alauddin Maniyar!
When people started surrounding Shivakumar and raising slogans, a Congress worker was seen trying to put his hands around the Karnataka Deputy CM. Then Shivkumar slapped the worker. The Congress worker seen in the video was identified as Alauddin Maniyar.
BJP shared video clip on X
After Shivakumar slaps him, the police present around his convoy can be seen pushing Maniyar aside, after which the Congress leader walks away. This clip was shared on the social media platform X with the official handle of Karnataka BJP.
In the post, BJP wrote, “When DK Shivkumar arrived for campaigning, Congress workers were raising slogans of “DK DK”. When DK Shivakumar came out of the car, a worker placed his hand on his shoulder. Angered by the sudden inappropriate behaviour, Shivakumar slapped the worker. The worker has been identified as municipal member Alauddin Maniyar.”
Amit Malviya took a jibe at DK Shivkumar
BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya, while sharing the video, took a jibe at Shivkumar and the Congress party and said, “Karnataka DCM DK Shivkumar slapped Congress Municipal Corporation member Alauddin Maniyar during election campaigning in Savanur town of Haveri. This is not the first time that DK has assaulted a Congress worker. His crime? He placed his hand on DK Shivakumar’s shoulder, then he came out of the car.”
He further said, “I wonder why Congress workers want to work for Congress. Their leaders slap them, humiliate them, do not give them tickets to contest elections (all of them are surrounded by family members) Is it for the money of corruption committed on their part?
