This was Butler’s 7th century in IPL career and 8th century in T20 career. Out of the 7 centuries he scored on the IPL pitch, this was his third century scored in run chase. And, this is where he broke Virat Kohli’s record.

In fact, till now Jos Buttler was jointly at the same place with Virat Kohli and Ben Stokes in terms of scoring the most IPL centuries in run chases. But, now he has left both Kohli and Stokes behind by scoring his third century in the run chase. Both Kohli and Stokes have 2-2 centuries in run chase.

Thanks to the explosive century scored by Jos Buttler, Rajasthan team was successful in chasing the target of 224 runs against KKR. Rajasthan Royals have chased such a big score for the second time in IPL. Meaning, he has repeated his own miracle. For the first time in IPL, Rajasthan chased 224 runs against Punjab Kings in the year 2020. This time he has chased the same score against KKR at Eden Gardens. A bigger run chase than this has never happened before in the history of IPL.
